Memory frequency

hi…Ijust built a new computerand i have a performance issue. My motherboard is a gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H rev 3.0 LGA1150. My cpu is intel core i7-4770-3.4GHZ and I have 4x8gb Corsair DDR3-1600GHZ memory. When I look at the performance of this system, I see that the memory frequency is at 1338ghz. How do I change that to 1600ghz for proper operation…please advise.

It’s likely you don’t have XMP enabled for your memory.

Go into the UEFI and select the Advanced Memory Settings option, then set Extreme Memory Profile to Profile 1. Save and exit the UEFI and it should enable, allowing your RAM to run at the advertised 1600MHz.
