Have a Dell T3500. Problem is I want to upgrade the ram to 6 - 4gb ddr3.

I’m not really sure what you mean from this post? Is the machine not happy with the RAM? Are you wondering if the machine can work with this RAM? Also what are you going to be using it for?
I’ve had to support a fair few T3500’s and had one at home myself. Annoyingly the machine can only take 24GB of RAM at the most. I did find however it does work if you put 3 x 8GB DIMM’s in there. I used the Crucial DDR3 ECC RAM in 4 machines and didn’t have any issue.

@Mike.Curley right now it has 3 gb total ram want to replace it with either 6 - 4gb stick’s just not sure what kind to buy. Computer will be used for light ediit ting wed browser in. Husband has a old computer pentium duel core E6500 2 gb ram 120hd One time I bought the wrong ram for a mb and don’t want to buy the wrong kind. . Thanks for replying much appreciatted. @Lisastar9, No problem. According to Crucial’s website, these DIMM’s are compatible. You can get 6 x the 4GB DIMM’s to take you up to 24GB.
But I’ve just gone and used 3 x 8GB DDR3, I can’t remember the exact model. I THINK these will do but don’t quote me on that.
