For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on some open source programs and other projects I really want to get out there in the greater community. I was laid off back in March. Recently I got back on the caffeine (I quit back in December, but got back on the wagon in August). Last week I started working full time again. It’s the first time I haven’t been on Linux at work since 2012. I’m back in the .NET/Windows world
.
So I anticipate my development is going to slow a bit, but I don’t want to lose the momentum I’ve gained over my forced vacation. I’ve got a lot of plans, not just for MpvBuddy and MediaHug, but other projects as well. I have a full CI/CD build environment built around Laminar that I’ve named Turbulent (get it?
).

Grants
I’ve applied for the NLnet grant. I like their application as it’s fairly straight forward with lots of individual sections indicating exactly what they’re looking for. Futo just has an e-mail address. The PDF from the NLnet application will certainly help for future grant applications, but I want to get a few things into a better state before I start future applications.
Project Blog
I do have my own website, but I think I’m just going to post major releases. I’ve kept my individual build logs on the fediverse, but I wanted to keep a blog thread here on L1T with just the summaries from each build session. Any comments, advice or tips are always appreciated.
I want to get to the point where I can write full tutorials for how to build complete pipelines for others trying to write, build, distribute and gain adoption for their own open source applications.
