i ahve heard that am3+ is a bad idea in a matx form factor due to the motherboard . however i heard form a friend that this is not true and no trouble is actually. if this is true what motherboard do you suggest and do you think that the new fx e would be a good idea.
There's nothing wrong with the AM3+ Socket (Excluding the Power these bloody CPU's Pull) its just the 970 Chipset which all of the mATX Boards for the AM3+ Socket are, are terrible and Outdated. also there is hardly a selection of Boards for mATX. there is about 2 or 3 motherboards and they all have the exact same terrible features, lack of USB 3 Ports PCI-E 2.0 the list goes on. now with the 990FX chipset on the AM3+ Socket, all of them are ATX those are all Feature-Rich and are Durable. and CHEAP. also with the Phase Design of the mATX boards on the AM3+ socket it wouldn't even handle those 120W chips for long. but with that 8370E which is a 95w Chip also the 6 core FX parts you can get away with the 970 Chipset and Go mATX just be aware the boards features and iO's are outdated. I would just go with the 990FX chipset, and go ATX
Here's the Motherboard i Recommend

thanks i have been held back by this weird matx case that i have that a friend sold me so it would jsut be better to atx due to age and power design.
am3+ m-atx boards just suck realy.
on AM3+ i realy recommend ATX. If you do want m-atx then go intel
so what would be a good budget mother board for atx .
If you're considering an 8 core CPU, here are a couple that I would recommend:
Gigabytes GA-970A-UD3P
MSI 970 Gaming
Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0
