So i got abit of a nifty gaming pc. Kind of specially dedicated to the task, running windows and so on.
I got no problems at all running games like witcher 3 at 4k, infact it just runs gloriously ~50-60fps, heck i even invested in a 4k amd freesync monitor, i sofar i have had no problems at all running games(ofc i am using a amd gpu).
But Andromeda i am experiencing tear lines and what not when im playing.
Anyone have an idea of whats going on?
i mean if Witcher 3 can run flawlesly, why not Andromeda?
Basically my only problem up until now has been, alot fo the older games does not like being run in 4k, but meh, but andromeda is the first title i run into which suffers from that old dinosaur tear lines when i turn off vsync. I mean it still looks good, but seems stupid that a such rescent 3xA title does not take something as trivial as freesync into consideration.
I don’t have it installed to test with the current graphics drivers, but try checking for which video mode the game settings have it running under. Fullscreen mode is usually the best choice.
The games graphics were was a bit wonky back when I played it, with performance demands uncharacteristic of the Frostbite engine that it was built on. But the game lacked some polish in many ways when it was released and then EA shut the studio down.
You sure you are staying in the freesync range?
Which I believe is 45 to 60/100/etc. Unless they finally got 30 FPS to highest refresh worked out.
You can see your frames by hitting the tilde ~ below escape and typing ´perfoverlay.drawfps 1´
To turn off replace the 1 with a 0.
But yeah make sure you are in full screen and Vsync on. Even through its freesync in my experience i still needed vsync on.
