Mass Effect Andromeda & Ryzen 7 coupon codes in Deals | Level One Techs

It was looking like EA was going to put the hammer down on discounted copies of Mass Effect Andromeda in the US and Canada - at least until the March 23rd European release date when some of the European sites could sell the game for cheaper. Well, today somehow GMG broke the trend, and while initially they weren't shipping Mass Effect Andromeda Origin keys in the US until March 23, they're now shipping immediately after purchase. Best of all, there's a large 24% discount after coupon.

In order to get the discount, you'll need to log in or create an account at GMG to be "VIP" status. After that, apply voucher/coupon code ANDROMEDA5 at checkout, dropping the price to $45.59 and making the best deal available online. GMG also offers a similar 23% discount to $45.99 on Toukiden 2, also released this week.

In hardware, the first Ryzen 7 discounts can be found on AMD's Ryzen. Jet has a coupon discount for the Ryzen 7 1700X, slashing the price to $369.99 as the first discount of note. On the cheaper side, Monoprice's eBay page has a similar $30 discount for the Ryzen 7 base 1700, cutting the price from $330 to $299.99.

Why are the Omens always on sale?

Actually its usually happening every other few weeks. HP (like a lot of other manufacturers and retailers) have a promotion cycle that they run through.

In HP's case, they cycle it between "high" discount and "normal/low" discount. So sometimes an item is 20% off during its "high" sale point.. and when not on a big sale, they'll still need to discount it to move units.. so it'll be lower at like around 10% off list price.

Before you think the list price is therefore a joke, there are many times where a desktop/laptop is at list price too. So they may be discounting desktop X for the month, while laptop Y gets another treatment the following month.

Otherwise it'll be quite a deceptive advertising sale price if its "constantly" on sale. (I think Amazon is getting into trouble with Canadian regulatory body cuz of their list price shenanigans).

Many other retailers also follow this pattern, whether its games or other tech product. So if something makes it into our list/deal roundup - its usually because the sale price is better than average (aka a pretty good deal). If its really good, we mention it directly and highlight it as a top deal.
