Mario Kart 64 netplay possible?

Hey guys, do any of you know if online multiplayer is possible in any way for mario kart 64? I know netplay is an option in some SNES emulators that I have tried, but I have never seen any online mods/support for n64.

I think the latest versions of pj64 have a netplay plugin you can use. There's also a another unofficial version of pj64 that has a netplay plugin that has lobbies and lets you play with strangers
