Is there a way of making money with that? I don't even know whether I am ready to do this, cause I have no clue how it looks like when you're coding for a company.
I am more than half way through the codeacademy.com (Original version of JS)
How can I find out?
I am also willing to switch to python or C++ as soon as I finish that course on codeacademy.
I get PHP recommended a lot though, mainly because of the use of javascript. But that would mean that I need to learn Jquery
So, usually you don't start to make money unless you make something yourself that generates money (ie website or service), or you have knowledge of the complete web development platform. This would include PHP Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, & CSS3 (Usually). Lots of companies don't tend to hire the new guy. Lots of companies tend to go to extremes with minimum requirements for applications like 3-5 years minimum for some.
Just as fair warning, it could take some time before you get hired by a company as a web developer.
On another note, you can offer craigslist website development and such. Freelance can be profitable if you have a quality portfolio and present yourself right.
I have not enough time for a full time job, cause Im a student.
I don't know whether I should go this way, because web dev is not much of my type. Switching to python/c++, are the chances higher? I tend to write each code in my head first and already know how to write it as soon as I write (the thinking process is quite fast too)
But that's JS, I don't know how C++ could be...
NVM, I thought of a more like freelancer job where I just get a task and write the code for that.
