Sorry for being a noob... but I have no idea what a terminal block is. What does it do?

You can chain fans and other things requiring 12v or 5v power off of it. They are mainly for cable management.

yeah, for instance tape that to the back of the motherboardplate and wire up all 12v fans to it (having to take the molex connector ofcourse)
