My friends and I are going to college together and we are looking to create a linux box/server to be our own VOIP, git repo, ect. I am wondering where there is a good source of equipment we can use?
If your going for cheap you could look around for an e-cycling place, there is one near me where i got a decent price for a relatively nice desktop box but i have seen them put up servers before.

I mostly use ebay
Allot of college and universitys have used computer parts store. The only trick most of the time is finding them.
You can also use local classified ads.
