Looking for a pair of Over Ear's with a budget of $200-$400

I am new to the Audiophile world, and I don't know a whole lot headphones. I do know the differences between Open and Closed.

I have been researching headphones for the past few days and I have narrowed down my findings to two pairs.

HiFiMan HE-400's and beyerdynamic DT 990's.

I am looking for some headphones that have a good amount of bass, but I would want them to be balanced in the other "categories" like trebble, mids, etc.

I will be using the headphones primarily on my PC.

I am perfectly fine with having Open headphones since I live in a generally quiet environment.

My primary choice of music is EDM.

Finally, I have heard that I might need an amp. I don't know a whole lot about these, but I heard the Schiit Magni good and those seem affordable. I don't want to spend much more than $100 on an amp.

Thank you for the help in advance.

HE-400's will do exactly what you are looking for.

I guess I am going to go ahead and pick up the HE-400's.

I would say Mad Dogs and the Magni Modi Schiit stack would be the way to go.
