Looking for a new gaming headset

Hello everyone

I have been using a turtle beech x12 headset for almost three years now and I have gotten to the point where I just want to get a better gaming headset for my PC. I'm looking for a headset with great sound and bass, has a good mic preferably with voice management (what I mean is a you can hear yourself coming through the headset speakers a bit so you don't scream at your friends and not realise it) and I would like it to be under £100. Also I have windows 8.1 (don't know if that means anything compatibility wise) and the built in sound on my MSI B85-G41 PC Mate ATX LGA1150 Motherboard.

These are the current headsets I am currently looking at

Logitech G430 Surround Sound gaming headset

Razer Krsken 7.1 surround

Kingston HyperX Cloud (I think I would need a sound card for this one)

Plantronics GameCom 780

What one is the best out of these or is their a better one I should consider getting?

Thanks for your help

I would recommend against a sound card. If you feel you need need a headphone amp to buy a dedicated amp.

Most gaming headsets are terrible for music so I do not have any recommendations for you in that regard.

I use a pair of AKG 701s with a mod mic and an amp/DAQ ... good for games and music ... but more than you want to spend.

I do occasionally listen to music on my pc but as long as music sounds decent then I'm okay.  The main thing is having good sound quality in games and a good mic because I talk to friends often.

I also should have mentioned that I wear glasses so it would have to be comfortable while wearing glasses.

I found the Logitech G930 to be decent in music and really nice surround sound in games.

Cathsy ... don't you have a headset and amp for sale?

i got the func hs 260 was on sale for 50$ at new egg. probably one of the best under 100$ headsets, braided detachable cable, swappable ear cups (includes pleather and felt ) mic detachable and swappable to either side , super good mic quality . looks good , (non "gamer" look)

check it out

I have seen a lot of people complaining about that headset disconnecting randomly.  Don't want to deal with all of that hassle.

Just looked at the Amazon reviews and they only have two stars.

I'd probably pick up a HyperX Cloud with an amplifier if you need one.

I have a G930. Dont get it.

IF you must get a gaming headset then go with the HyperX Cloud or SteelSeries Siberia v2.
