I've had this mouse for a while and I love it, but it chews through batteries when I don't turn the power off. I can probably get 3 days out of a single AA battery and then it is either dead, or very close to dead. Batteries are brand new, I keep a set of those Panasonic Eneloop recharables next to my computer to swap when needed, they are the same brand that came with the mouse. Any one have any ideas as to how to get the battery to last longer? I know I could turn it off when not in use, however the battery life still shouldn't drain that fast, should it?
Use the cord. Unplug it for gaming sessions. I never even turn mine off. 3 days of powering a blue tooth connection is actually not that bad. I never liked trying to game on the wireless side of things. Usb was preferred for gaming on mine.
http://www.amazon.com/Original-Replacement-Cable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B008EE6G6G A little pricey but ? The mouse has its own charging system if you use the cord and just go wireless when it is important. I still am using the original batteries.
Plugging it in is an option, problem is I quite often forget to do it. I did some more reading and it seems like Logitech just didn't optimize for power savings at all. The mouse is meant to be a gaming mouse and that's it. Just sucks when you see that they have a mouse that will go a year and not have to replace the batteries, yet have this one that only works for 4 days before dropping dead.
