Logitech Ergo M575 Repair

Bought it for cheap from a used game store on impulse and it triggered something in me. Now I’m addicted to trackballs for productivity. However this M575 broke almost immediately (as is apparently the norm). So I bought a new one because Best buy had them and I wanted to get back to balling fast. My next baller is going to be something else but it was a really easy fix with like $1 of AliExpress parts so I figured I’d dust off my soldering iron and flex my flux.

This was honestly one of the easiest solder jobs I’ve done and the tear down of the mouse was very simple even with the ribbon cable between the two halves.

Works like a charm now. Which only begs the question, what the hell Logitech? This is a $50 mouse? At least it’s easy to fix!
