So I was just wondering what u think about mobile gaming and its future? Will we get x86 for mobile and is there room for "real" games for mobile like games that cost 30-60$ and take multiple years to develop? Portability is becoming more and more important so are we seeing portable consoles with batteries and built-in screens?
I'm not logan but I'm going to be a future developer, I do intend on making real games, well ports but good ports, if the game is good enough MAYBE 30$ but the whole appeal to mobile games are they are cheap, you would have to make a really fufilling game where it being on mobile would benefit it.
now when I say really good game, I mean something of Peace Walker's calibur, Its a hand held game but at the same time its one of metal gear's largest games
would I personally sell my game for 30$ on mobile, no, I'm not a money grubbing company I just want to make fun games
If intel keeps getting power consumption lower faster than arm gets cpu preformance up there may come a time when the lines are blurred. Like windows 9 or whatever could be x86 based and not be different(as far as what it can run) across desktop and smart phone. Which would be cool I think.
