Logan is needed!

Logan is needed for a GTX 1060 laptop comparison.

Why, does Logan have one?

I wonder if that laptop has a varible refresh rate monitor, and whether that could be the cause.

I have a great question

Who cares?

liek he goes on for 15 min to talk about how his fraps is displaying on a unsupported API. But one bugged function or method could cause all kinds of funny things to happen.

By the looks of the new laptop he has. It looks like it's the same laptop.

I already diagnosed the problem
Fraps is accessing the buffer within the g-sync laptop to display frame rate, it's related to g-sync laptops not having a dedicated module in the display
It's not haunted, Linus is an idiot.

Calling computer hardware and software haunted. Is just idiotic in itself.

I would comment on the OP's original post but I can't see to type as my eyes are bleeding still from seeing Linus.

After the last repair I did on a Laptop I would not say that anymore. It was realy wired, and to be honest.. despite two capacitors being the initial culprit ... and me removing them I do not know why it runs now. And why it did not without the two filter caps... shrug

But did so when the screen assembly (screen + touchscreen) unplugged.. but after baning the table next to it it works with all attached XD

People say it's the Gysnc Buffer that the fraps is reading FPS out of.

Maybe it has a Norton ghost

hurhurhur

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH

If that's the case then shouldn't it have been showing for other non OpenGL/Vulkan games? Conveniently enough he didn't say whether the Fraps FPS counter was also happening for DX11/12.
