Litecoin Mining?

With Bitcoin becoming more and more difficult to mine, I have set my sights on different cryptocurrencies...Litecoin.  How do I get started?  Can I expect a reasonable profit, assuming I'm using the hardware in my profile?  What is the best programs/setup for my hardware?  Oh and I'm using Windows 7.  Any and all information is welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Nvidia hardware isn't that great at mining...

Find a pool (I use Coinotron.com). Download a miner (I use cgminer, but Nvidia has a different one, cudaminer). Make a worker at the pool. Plug the worker details and other optimal settings into the miner. You're good to go! http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/81113-how-to-mine-litecoin-explaind-the-easy-way/

Make sure to use --scrypt! Bitcoin uses a different type of decryption.

You can use btc-e.com to sell your coins. Although a wallet might be beneficiary if you want to store them long term.

For nvidia there's a program called Cudaminer based off of minerd. I pull 260 khash/s with a 570 OC, so it's better than default cgminer but still doesn't stack to a 7950 or what have ye from AMD

Thanks for the info, guys.  I appreciate it.  I have been thinking about selling my GTX 670 to a friend and switching over to AMD.  Not too sure though.  Still waiting on those non reference coolers for the R9 290.
