i find two standoffs very different from the other ones…but why?
Are they all like that or it’s just that one?
I never had to put in stand offs in a case, but the one on the right looks like the captive one used to keep the motherboard in place while you start to screw it in. It’s usually installed in the middle of the board.

there are two of them and they were preinstalled together with the normal ones.
A lot of modern cases included one of these motherboard stand offs. It is used as a guide and makes it easier to line up your first screw to mount the motherboard. You can test fit it into a motherboard screw hole and you should see the top of the stand off sit flush with the motherboard.
They come in two variations where it’s just a guide pin or a sleeve to screw in to.

Oh i see i didn’t think about that…so the top of the standoff goes inside the motherboard mounting holes…
