K so I've decided to just replace my motherboard. It works without the side panel and as soon as I put it back on it restarts. So I'll consider this motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130790) unless anyone has any other suggestions?

So thermal throttling. A cpu cooler like this would help some ? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608025 but as you see from the price its not that cheap. While it would certainly help some, It will not solve the issues, completely . You will always be doomed to be throttled by the mb design, as it was never really designed for an overclocking fx cpu.
