Isn't that a curse in some culture/s? ; "May you live in interesting times"

I hadn't heard of it before so looked it up. Turns out it was reported to be a Chinese curse, but nothing to back that up.
Kind of the low grade curse that Blackadder might be dealing in.
That's the issue, can't find anything to back it up. It's a good curse though, fitting for today. I heard somewhere that there was a corollary to that curse: "May you find what you're looking for"
