The copy shop keeps a copy of each textbook, and they make new copies for students who buy them.

You’re talking about early 20th century, when copy machines were not as advanced or cheap.

About Beijing public housing.

In Romania students sublease dorm rooms at public universities, because they’re subsidised.

Estonia

@ryan I’m fairly certain Estonia is a NATO country. It’s Finland, their neighbor, that is not.

I can’t find where Estonia’s government shut down their internet; I thought that story was about a country in Asia somewhere.

I meant to do a correction on that this week but forgot again. I also went back to find the govt takedown story and it turns out it was hackers, not govt (unless they were posing as hackers).
