According to the below. RAM upgrade no, m.2 upgrade yes, 2.5" drive no. For linux compatibility your best off googling it. The arch wiki often has good info on specific issues you may have.

iv just placed the order for the Lenovo Flex 5 an a SK hynix Gold P31 500GB PCIe NVMe to be upgraded with my plan is to keep the win os but to clone the original to the sk drive an then load va a dual boot install setup an pair with pop os 22.04
any advice on how to go about this
my reason for dual os is i only need win os for some things but mostly use linux.
Install windows, modify partitions to leave half of the space free. Then install Pop OS along side being careful not to wipe Windows.
If you aren’t looking to game you can run Windows in a VM on Linux.
