Leaf Blower PC

In light of Ryzen's release, building a new computer isn't optional. Buuut... Let's have some fun with it, right? Why not replace the ventilation systems and cooling systems with the power of a leaf blower?

I'm thinking of using a through and through airflow, in the front, out the back via two leaf blowers (push/pull). This is obviously super effective but very loud. Anyone interested in results?

Yes.

Ha ha, that would be hilarious, I assuming you will be using electric leaf blowers, don't want carbon monoxide poisoning while gaming in a room.

Each one can pull between 500 to 1500 watts. Have fun.

I want to hear how loud this will be. I'm imagining the two blowers setting up some sort of harmonic balance and shaking your house apart.

Now I used to sell those back in the day. The air intake is on the bottom for sucking up leaves in mulching mode. It will not work on that dictionary.

Didn't even notice that lol, btw do you have any experience with the temperature of the air that the leaf blower shoots out? I feel like it might be a bit on the warm side.

No clue, but the CFM is so high I doubt it has time to be significant.

I feel like ESD could be a problem if the air isnt particulate free. I guess you'll find out if it is or isnt.

Off topic:
I used a box fan on my core2duo rig back in the day while overclocked to mine bitcoin. Worked great.

Two of these. The most inefficient system ever. Let's do it.

This reminds me of when I was a youth and thought that removing the thermostat from the muscle car would just increase coolant flow and who cares about the flow rate... Yeah, that overheated in ten minutes. Thermal transfer rates and mass are a thing.

By the way, my mom is totally thrilled I'm doing this in our house and have no experience with leaf blowers.

On a side note, is 250MPH a lot?

perhaps a floor dryer is more appropriate. At least they have 2-3 settings and are larger and thus quieter...

Or for what it's worth run it off a variac. You'll keep one of those in your collection for the rest of your life!

Kinda... Think Buggati Veyron.

All seriousness though, it's not going to do much damage since air has significantly less mass (and inertia) than a car.

Worst case, you might have to tape your sata cables in.

I'm extremely excited for this, but why? AMD already provides leaf blowers attached to the heatsink...

All I could imagine.

Yeah, definitely going to need to strap everything in... Lol, part of my reasoning was the AMD is a toaster ideology. I definitely want overboard :3
