In trying to troubleshoot some Skyrim crashes, one of the suggestions was to update Direct3D. However the latest DX11 is June 2010. Has Microsoft truly not updated the API in 13 years???
IIRC driver dates in device manager are from the date that the first revision was released.
They’re up to 12 now, so it’s certainly possible
nope jun 10 is dx10
if your playing old games you may want to have all dx versions since 9c
which include direct x9c, directx jun 10, dx11, and dx12.
all can be found at microsoft downloads.
I think the advice I ran across was for older versions of Windows. For Windows 10, Microsoft sez:
So it doesn’t appear that there’s any way to download the ‘latest version’ of DX11 outside of Windows Update.

yes says win 7 but thats the o.s. it was dev’d for…
it will still install and add updates to your pc’s directx libraries.
you can search for other dx updaters on the same site.
If you install msi afterburner it installs dx updates, it’s also handy for monitoring foam and temps
so after a fresh install i normally just install the directx 9/jun10/11 and update 12.
turns out you only need jun 10 and web installer to get everything from 9.c to 12.3
Are you using mods and if you did, did you truely clean out every folder that was left before reinstall.
