Last of us loading screen PS3

Hi guys,

Bought the last of us a few days ago.

But when I start it up it I get a infinite loading screen, it won't let me continue.

And when I exit the game I get 3 bleeps.

Got the phat ps3 80 gb version.

Thanks,

Luke Zoetebier.

Its actually just an incredibly long load time. Just let it sit and load for a bit.

It's kind of like GTA, it only really loads once. So it takes a while.

Alright thanks will try that.

Well it has been 35 mins of loading and still nothing..

really disappointed in this game

did you buy new or used? maybe the cd is stuffed, or maybe ur ps3 is just having a hard time witht he game ( lens issues? ) and.. have you reset the ps3 ??

I did buy it new, the disc was a bit dirty so I cleaned it just now.

I actually did the reset thing, but only the settings.

This ps3 is pretty old, think I bought it in 2009.

Maybe it is the lens? which is weird because other games work perfectly

can you install it to the hard drive, then try playing it?

Odd, delete any game data on the hard drive and switch it off and switch if back on, make sure the ps3 is uptodate online, then pop the cd in and see what happens?

well damn, cleaned it real good and deleted the files.

works now, a big thanks to you two for helping me!

-_- the life of a Support Technician haha, and I dont even support Consoles otherwise :P

If you didn't know, for most games, the common files are installed to the HDD and the game is played from disc.

Yeah, there's a number of games that have had similar issues fixed by deleting the update files. I've had to go so far as deleting my saved games (for that game) because the save files would get corrupted by the game some how.

lol, I dont use disks on our PS3, play solely off of the HDD, so I didnt really know that you couldnt do it separately, as on the xbox.

The xbox does it because they chose the losing disc format and much of the content is compressed so they install on the common files to the HDD to compensate. With BD you don't have to compress anything, that's why your BD movies look and sound awesome!
