Laptop recommendation for audio recording/production

Hello,

I am in need of a new laptop for audio production as my current one doesn’t have the specs I need to keep up with all of the VSTs I run. I am looking for something with lots of I/O due to my external hard drive and several audio peripherals and I am looking for something with great build quality as I do a bit of traveling and sometimes want to create some tunes while I’m away from home. To give and idea, some programs that I will be running on this machine will be Reaper, NI Komplete, Bias Desktop, and Izotope Ozone.

Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

I can give anything specific as a recommendation, but what would probably be good for you is a gaming laptop or mac book pro 2015

I don't know about those programs really since I do my audio recording/production in Linux. I would recommend The System76 Bonobo WS or Serval WS if you are going to drop the cash on a Mac Book Pro.
Couple that with Ardour and JACK audio with Mixxx and Qtractor and you should be pretty much set. Funny thing is, you have to pay for Ardour on Mac to keep up to date......it is free on Linux. Same features.
