Laptop cooling stand

Hello!
I have a question about cooling my laptop. To cool my computer I use a stand with a fan. When I connect the wire to the usb connector of the laptop, the fan starts working, the laptop really heats up less. Can you tell me if this is a good method? I mean, will such a stand harm the laptop if it blows dust into it, for example, or in some other way?

Get a couple of Poland Spring caps

If anything, you will be blowing less dust into the laptop, as the internall fan would splin slower.

Aside, where is the laptop’s air intake located? Usually on the side rather than bottom.

If you are using your laptop as a desktop, you would probably be happier with an actual desktop, LOL.

Giving laptops a little help with cooling is never a bad idea.

Thank you for your help

Absolutely! Laptops can use all the help needed to stay cool. I’ve assembled my own cooling stand with a pair of USB fans and has been working great.
