Hey i've been given a Dell Latitude E6510 to fix. The problems are that the speakers don't work and it won't wake from sleep (ie black screen on wake). I spent some time with the problems and fixed it. Only thing is it reverts and is generally as broken as when I got it.
Somebody's installed Window 8 on it and the hardware isn't completely compatible. There are no Win8 drivers from Dell for this laptop's speakers and as I said forcing Win7 drivers breaks after not too long. I never give things back still broken but i've done a lot more than i've mentioned here and it's looking like I might have to.
Please help with more things to try and possible workarounds. Idk what to do beside recommending an OS change.
