That’s not going to scale at all at those speeds as its single threaded. You need proper appliances for such speeds.
Hmm, would be a fun experiment.
Modern CPUs are scary fast and there might be a way to configure nic interrupt steering and fiddle with XDP to get multiple queues going. (wish I had the time…)
