Laminate for DIY phone/laptop skins?

I recently bought a Macbook skin from Fishskyn. I noticed that the back of laminate said “Arlon” on it. So I Googled it. Apparently Arlon makes a wide variety of laminates for different things (cars, calendars, signage, whatever).

I’m curious if anybody has ever done a DIY laptop/phone skin using this or any other similar laminate, and what kind of printer you used to print the graphic.

My daughter has a Cricut machine and she’d like to play around with making different skins for her phone/tablet/whatever.

Have a browse at the Dbrand website, she might be able to adopt an existing design to fit the case using her Cricut.

Late last year LTT Linus was let loose in their factory unsupervised (allegedly!) at night or so and made a video about it. He shows off the machines they use and given what I know about that kind of processes, trust me when I say those aren’t exactly cheap  :exploding_head:
