I’ve tried working around the bullshit with things like “following is a link of x useful thing” hoping to not have to retype a bunch of shit when the comment with the link most likely gets deleted… but guess the fuck what
I’ve stopped commenting years ago because of this. I rarely posted a comment to begin with, but when I did it was usually to try and be helpful with some technical info. The last time I tested this I think it took around 20 seconds for my post to be gone… can’t even edit it. Now I think about it, the last time I struggled with it my comment would get removed every time I had the word Floatplane in it, but I could have the exact comment with just the word Floatplane removed.
I get it’s not an easy problem to solve, especially with all the scams, but it’s just not worth even trying to comment at this stage.

I have used this to my advantage. When i try to delete a comment i made (for whatever reason), usually it takes a day or so for it to be deleted. So i put a link thats non-youtube in the comment and 20 or so seconds later, its gone.
