L1T DP1.4KVM display disconnects with any TB5 dock?

KVM Model:

4 PC 2 monitor 10Gbps DP 1.4 KVM

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

10-gigabit

Problem:

I have used the kvm with my asus pq42… oled gaming monitor for a good while now without issue on a multitude of TB4 docks and even hubs. I have an M4 Pro MacBook Pro that supports TB5 so I figured it would be ok to upgrade. I first tried a cable matters TB5 dock that was supposedly Intel Certified and had issues where my monitor would drop the display connection entirely. When it does this switching to my other MacBook seems to work just fine but the display never comes back until I unplug the tb5 cable and reconnect it. I have been using Moshi usb c to display port adapters since I saw them as a recommended cable for the L1T kvm. I tried a new club 3D usb c to DP cable and it still is disconnecting from the dock. From what I can tell it may be caused from the dock now having enough power or some other reason. I’m using a sonnet tech echo 13 dock now and it doesn’t disconnect as often but still at least 2+ times a day with light use. I have tried to manufacture tb5 cables as well as a tb5 apple cable. I also have tried a tb 4 cable and it was much much worse. My question is the L1T having some sort of backwards compatibility issue since tb5 docks support DP2.1 and my adapter cables also support up to DP 2.1 but the L1T kvm and my monitor only support up to DP 1.4? Could the issue be with the dock trying to use DP 2.1 or something similar?

Do you have any ideas as to what may be going on or if there is a good workaround? If not I guess I need to switch back to my TB4 hub.

Other Notes:

I have also tried switching thunderbolt and usb c ports around. It still disconnects seemingly randomly.

@wendell

pic of the bottom of the problem dock?

does it have a built in USBC cable for Thunderbolt or is it a c to c type cable?

It is a thunderbolt 5 usb c to usb c host/upstream connection.
