bad ass I like it. That would have been an epic name

I kinda dissagree on this.

Because the build quality standards for EU cars is generally a bit higher then US cars.
A good example is Toyota actually who broaght the Camry back to Europe.
A pretty nice car but it simply doesn´t sell because it’s build up to the US standard.

Toyota is probably one of the biggest car manufacturer in the world.
And it’s mostly known for their great reliable cars.
But if they want to get their sport lineup of cars more popular in Europe,
then they probably should think about a different label.
But now a days most people see Toyota as safe and reliable socker mom familie car rather then the Supra’s of old times.

Good news:

Well basically something simple as putting a number at it could actually work yea.

ugh not my look. Sorry

well your right in that regard. We dont like to stiffle creativity by forcing unholy amounts of standards.

you would know better about europe than us. All we are saying is that in the US this is a car that will sell probably pretty well.

Ewwwwww bmw engine

Not all BMW engines were bad. They had some amazing i6 models

If they didn’t call it the supra (a toyota brand w.o a toyota engine just feels like a slap), I’d give it a pass.

Well the Honda Civic Type R is another good example.
They are getting reviewed and allot of press attention.
But in the end people are like okay cool and move on.
Unfortunately that’s how it goes.

Of course this might be a totally different story in the US.

its also kind of fucking ugly. Its popular ish in the US. Unfortunately it has a much better competitor that has the bigger name problem. Veloster N

What the fuck is a… veloster? (british accent)

Oh yeaaaa I remember the dude in blue talked about the bad naming

we are in the era of slaps. Because that old era is dying.

We are literally becoming how our parents were about their cars.

I personally find the Toyota Corolla GR really cool.
The only thing i´m not so sure about if people would really,
understand it for what it actually is.
Because like i said the name Corolla doesn’t really excite many people.

A VW Golf GTi is really a different story,
just because of the herritage that the GTi badge on a Golf actually has.
The same counts for a M3 or AMG badge etc.

IDK try not to judge the name too hard. I mean theres an example. The ford mach E is hella fun but people were mad it had the mustang name. great car

IDK I havent followed the non electric space much ive been riding the “on the cusp” bandwagon

Well the thing is that people actually judge by the name.
Toyota had a history with some great sporty cars,
that people know about like the Supra, Celica, MR2 and Galanza.

Perhaps but honestly. I get you have a hard on against the name. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it… Or well other people have tried it. Have you chosen a motherboard yet?

Well the Corolla GR is definitelly going to be a good car.
I mean it’s a 1.6 3 cilinder engine with 300HP.
Allot of people actually complain about downsizing,
however it being a 1.6 it actually isn´t that small.
And it comes with a 6 speed manual so that can only be good.
However if people are also going to recognize it and appreciate it as such that is the question.

Well it´s likely not going to be Asus anymore. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mistery its a 3 cylinder… That would be small for a 4 cyl but a three… more than 0.5L per cylinders. Thats respectable.

most things about the car are good :stuck_out_tongue:

:joy: whos you preference now?
