KVM switches not responding

Hi Level1tech,

I accidentally unplugged the power while moving my kvm around and now the kvm switch doesn’t work.
I posted a video here on r/level1techs : https://www.reddit.com/r/level1techs/1jb3wmz/help_please_kvm_switch_do_nothing/
I tried;

  • unplugging everything and re-plugging everything.
  • Had the kvm stand fully unplugged for 1h+
  • hold the buttons for long time
  • spam click buttons

I don’t know what to do please help, this tool is an essential part of my workflow and now I am back to unplugging a display port cable and switching between 4 pc. :anguished:

do you have a different power brick you can try? if it’s not the power brick we can help setup a mail in repair

12v dc center positive for the power brick

I do not, I think mail in repair might be the road I have to take

help set this up.

for the power brick you have can you pop off the two prong adapter using the release and pop them back on a few times?

do you hear a faint click when you plug in the brick to the kvm?

I did the prong adapter release off and in, didnt fix it
I hear a faint ‘‘click’’ when plugging and unplugging the cable, as the LED turns on and off

Oh my…
I left it plugged in for 48hours.
Came by right now and noticed the switch is working now.
Amber I would say ignore my email request for shipping.
No clue what happened and why it ‘‘fixed’’ itself with time

ugh… unplugged it from there, replugged it at my desk fully - then power cable, now it
doesnt work again :frowning:
