KVM switch not recognizing second output monitor

KVM Model:

(PAAG-E3122B)2 ports 8k Displayport 1.4 KVM Switch with USB 3.2 Gen1, Hotkey Control, Multi-Monitor

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

Problem:

Got this KVM switch a month ago, and the bottom displayport output does not seem to work. The monitor does not recognize any signal. I have connected the pc with the same displayport cable directly, and connected the same monitor and cable to the top port, and both seem to work. Therefore, my conclusion is that the port on the KVM switch itself is broken or faulty.

Other Notes:

The two monitors I have connected to the KVM do not have the same specs, but I don’t think that matters.

Can I get a video or picture? The cables might matter. For instance, if you have a DP 1.2 cable and the top monitor is DP 1.2, that’s fine, but if the bottom monitor is DP 1.4, and you try your DP 1.2 cable, you run into an issue.

Thank you for that! I can see these cables are definitely different brands, can you list what they are? Are you using any adapters?

I am not using any adapters. All cables are compatible with displayport 1.4. The cable for my middle monitor came with the monitor itself, so I’m not familiar with the exact brand.

As for the cable that is in my right monitor, it is an “ACT DisplayPort 1.4 cable 8K, VESA certified, 3m”

I do not think the issue lies with the cables, as I have used both types of cables with both monitors, and the consistency lies in the bottom DP output not working.

I can’t quite tell in your video, are all 6x DisplayPort ports populated? It seemed like the bottom row might not be?

In the image below, this configuration would mean when PC 2 is selected the bottom monitor will not display.

I could be missing it, but I don’t see the PC 1 DP connected either. It looks like 4 of the 6 are connected.

This seems to be the case in your video as well?

You were right, I have since plugged in two extra DP cables and things now seem to be working. Thank you for the help!
