Kraken x61 vs CoolerMaster Nepton 280L

Hey guys

Im torn at the moment between the Kraken and the Nepton. Not sure which one to pick....
Here in the land of oz the Nepton is $30 cheaper ($129) than the x61 which is priced at $159.
Would love to have a colour themed block instead of plain white.

Have looked into the specs and the Nepton has more static pressure compared to the Kraken.
However it doesn't have a variable speed pump like the Kraken does, neither does it have software to customize the fan profiles....

Is it worth the extra $30?
Am I being super stingy? Yep

Would like to know everyones opinion on this.......
Thanks guys :)

In my opinion, static pressure is the most important part of a liquid cooling set up like that; how well the heat can be radiated away. It's true the  variable speeds are important, because if you went for passive cooling that would be the most effective and the quietest. However, you're probably not going for that, and the Nepton has some fantastic SP fans. Same level as Noctua. And if its cheaper why not. Lights are nice, if you don't have them. But after awhile they can get annoying. I find myself shutting them off, especially if I have to have my computer on at night for some reason. Besides I like the kind contrast of a white cpu block in my case full of red LEDs.  Really draws focus to it. But in the end it is your decision, and you have different preferences.

Thanks so much man!
Makes sense that you would just turn it off after a while. My computer will be in my bedroom all the time and this would make sense along with the contrast argument.
Just trying to decide before I build it sometime in the early new year...
I think i might go with the Nepton because of the static pressure. Its a little louder isnt it?
