Hi folks, I have a Gigabyte R9 390 that I am considering using a Kraken G12/ Corsair H55 combo on. NZXT states that it works on the 390 series but may need an additional shim depending on the particular card. I wanted to find out if anyone on the forum has ever done this with the R9 390 before and if they encountered any issues.
What I am expecting to get out of this is a silent GPU, of course better cooling is a plus. The card gets very loud on newer titles like far cry primal for example. This is usually when it is in 70 and 80 degree range. I am aware that the G12 may not be the best looking when it comes to aesthetics but if it will quiet the beast I am down with that.
