i was looking at the monitors on ebay and they look really appealing BUT
i was looking at reviews and it says it needs a dual link dvi
i have a 290 and it doesn't have dual link so i want to know will it work ?

It is a DL DVI. If it has all the pins it is dual link. DVI-I and DVI-D only refer to the connector on the one end. DVI-I or DVI-D can be dual link or single link.
The card has a dual link connector. You will be fine.

they all slower IPS/PLS WQHD panels. the primary difference between them is the coating on them.
I can't speak for the Qnix and the Shimian but as an Xstar owner the coating on it is AMAZING
