Hello there!
I’m fairly new to KVM topic, but have questions)
Is there KVMs on the market(maybe even L1KVM) that support customizable keystrokes and/or mouse gestures for port switching?
I can’t remember if it’s customizable, but with the L1T KVM, by default, you can switch by hitting left control twice and then the number you want to switch to. I think there’s another hotkey as well, but I’d have to dig up the manual and I have no idea where I put it. lol
lots of pro KVM’s support custom mapping, but most consumer oriented ones do not. They may have 2-3 different options that you can pick from but generally wont let you create your own hot key combo.
Now some KVM’s like the IOGear (not sure about LV1) support RS232 which lets you create a custom device/software solution to trigger the KVM.
for example from the IO Gear manual.
