Will be very interesting to see the Ryzen + Vega benchmarks. Hoping that’s coming soon from Level1Linux. @wendell

Does this include the patches we’d otherwise need to get GPU pass through going or…?

EDIT: searched for "[email protected]" and can’t find any commits in mainline or stable – I compared against the tr.patch that @wendell provided in the Threadripper reset fixes thread. Unless I missed something but it looks like we’d still need to patch this by hand, which is simple enough if you follow the steps.

Dont know, as i have no interest in that. Read some about spectre and meltdown fixes which in a interview seems will land on kernel 4.15-16

Tried out 4.15 earlier and when I rebooted my main monitor wasn’t working. Opened the terminal and fix it, rebooted and neither of my monitors were working. So went back to 4.14 and monitors cut out before I get to login with no signal so I login with neither screen working and bring up the terminal and run a shell script and get monitor 2 back. Turns out when I tried 4.15 DVI-I-1 became DVI-D-1 and HDMI-A-0 became HDMI-1-1. Good times, going to have to change my monitor setup before I try 4.15 again. That or enable ssh.

good info, read somewhere that only displayport would work.

Not sure if true, though using displayport and have 0 issues with 4.15 so far
