If you are going with windows then just use 10, if you care about people wathcing what you look at (even though this will happen no matter what)_ then there are a few things you can do. no point using any earlier version like 8.
You will love 10 :)

Barnacules also did a video on the "stop spying" thing.
You might also check that video out.
I have a free version with Uni so I don't even have to buy it, but I wanted to be sure that 10 is reliable, i haven't read anything about it since the preview.
Thank you!
Just install and use http://bit.ly/StopWindows10Spying
I got the link from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1kGMCfb2xw
Unless for fine sharing with Microsoft.
Guys something popped into my mind. I need this PC to have Wi-fi, I need an extra part for that don't I?
What do you guys recommend?
You can buy a x99 board with build in wifi, but those boards are a bit more expensive.
Ofc you can also just buy a pci-e wlan card.
Which option would you recommend?
Or does it make little difference?
Technically it should not make much of a diffrence.
it mostly comes down to pricing.
There are a couple of boards with onboard wifi, but they cost significantly more.
A pci-e wlan card, or even m.2 or whatever, might end up to be cheaper.
THe cheapest X99 board with onboard wifi is probably the Asrock X99 Extreme 6 / AC.
I could make a list of boards with onboard wifi.
That won't be necessary, I think I'll just go for a WLAN Pcie, I already found a pretty decent and cheap one.
Thank you again for everything.
These are all x99 boards with onboard wifi out of my head.
But i think that just buying a pci-e wlan card would be cheaper in most cases.
Well I got all the parts and I'm writing from my brand new PC!
The only problem I have is it doesn't seem to recognize the Caviar HDD for some reason, but other than that, it's working wonders!
Thank you so much to everyone that helped!
Awesome.
If you like you could make a build log topic in the build log section on the forum.
Posting some pictures etc.
Would be cool.
