Issues Overclocking my 2 R9-270x's Direct CU II Top Edition

anytips to overclock these damn things? im using ASUS's GPU Tweak and its a big confusing cause all i did was raise the clock by 70 to make the clock speeds 1200mhz and the application added 50 Mv to the card and for some reason the things still crash. the total being 1250mv.

i know my 7870 needs 1.3v to run at 1200core 1400mem, try more voltage (i think that'd be the same clock)

I Tried the 1200mhz Core Clock at 1.3v and it still crashed.

maybe it's just a bad overclocker, is it crashing due to instability or heat, if it's getting too hot you can take the cooler off and re-apply the thermal paste

I Know it's not Heat cause I'm Checking the GPU Temps using the GPU Tweak and Both my R9-270x's stay at 69*C to 70*C. I Boot up Crysis 2 as soon as i start playing it crashes.

could just not be a good overclocking card.

Silicon lottery, bro.

I guess so. its still a bit nuts that Both Cards crash at 1200mhz core clock. at 1.3 volts.

Did you try them individually? or when they were both installed?

I tried to overclock them when they were both installed.

Okay. Well thats why both failed at the same clock. They will automatically match clocks. so if you OC one to something over 1200, the other one will try to match it, and fail.

You cant effectively overclock each card by itself. Its either both, or neither.

If you use MSI afterburner, you can set it to overclock each card independently. But it still may fail.

so how would I Overclock both cards at the same time?
