I know the card is not officially released yet but is this really the only photo (actually a render) of the RTX PRO 5500 in the whole internet? I’ve been searching for weeks but still nada. I’m curious how the dual rotor 1u fans are attached to the body of the card which I’m pretty sure is just an attachment over a standard 6000 body. Also very curious about the manufacturer and model of those fans.
You are probably right about that, some kind of bracket that the fans attach to, which is then attached to the card using the pair of threaded mounts on the back air inlet side of the server version GPU meant to mount “a standard NVIDIA extender” like in the RTX Pro 6000 Product Brief PDF with bracket part number “NVPN: 151-1346-000”
I kinda doubt the fans are included standard, probably just an optional configuration for adding the card to servers with poor airflow, especially since they are still claiming up to 600W and it not looking any different spec wise.
Whatever they are, I am betting >70 dB
Answering my own question: might be a Delta GFB0412EHS. 64dB. Nvidia already used it for 1Us.
To cool 600 watts using two 40mm fans, I think you’d want at least 4-5 inAq @ >35 CFM. Probably something more like the Delta GFB0412DS, something in the 20-30 watt class.
If anyone’s interested, two new photos (renders?) popped out on the interweb. Still no clear view of back of the card though.
