Is my USB-C motherboard connector still fine?

I basically put in the connector the wrong way after it wasn’t working (which I think is the case’s fault).

I heard a light scraping noise and stopped. When I checked it there was some plastic debris which I took out with a toothpick.
Is the port still operational?

I might not need it anyways but do I have to swap the motherboard now because it could create a short?

After looking at that forst picture, it does not look to be. It was a good picture, giving a look into the pins. Seems to be fine.

So I simply just scraped off some plastic? It’s anyways weird and soft plastic inside it seems.

apparently, Here is a sample image of USB-C for reference

But you see the part I scraped off? I guess that doesn’t do anything? This connector is quite fragile.

does not appear to be too bad, I’d stick the connector in there properly and move on.

I really dislike the fact it is not reversible without any clear indication for orientation.

I didn’t even press that hard. Like the quality of this stuff is getting worse and worse. Why aren’t they making it hard plastic like the USB 3 one instead of this foamy plastic that crumbles?

But it looks like I’ve just scraped off some plastic right? Connector seems to be fine? No need to worry that it would mess up the functionality of my board?
