Is anyone still making cases with a dozen or more 5.25inch drives?

I love the Antec 1200 as an option for a home server where i can add in just a ton of hot swap bays in the front.

Is anyone making anything like this anymore?

anidees does make something similar, but the price isn’t very good for the quality you get:

at a dozen 5.25" bays, you are looking at 20 3.5" drives. and at the price i was just seeing, i would just buy a rackable server chassis with the front all full of drives, those are usually 24 drives (depending on how many rack units you want). now to be fair you can fit six 2.5" drives per bay depending on your enclosure, netting you 72 drives. but you can also still just put it in a rack? why do you need so many hotswap bays?

silverstone makes several rackable chassis with 6 5.25" bays. i would start there.

I Should have mentioned I am in the UK as this does not appear to be available but it looks interesting thanks.

@johney_iron I have been looking at server chassis but i have quite a few limitations that mean i can not run a rack but a large PC case can sit in a corner.

I may be able to do something that was not full depth but to both get front 8+ hot swap bays and be able to transplant my server, cooled passively with a NN-P1 as it lives in a bedroom requires around 5U if I did go that route.

remember that a server rackable case can still be run as a tower. they can sit on their side if you remove rack rail and rack ear.
