Hello, I am new to the IPMI/BMC world and I was wondering if it was possible to control it when the mobo is connected to the internet via the wifi (unfortunately, my current workstation location prohibits me from using Ethernet; hopefully this will be addressed in the future). OR if i could use the in-browser control on the PC itself, if it is not possible to use it that way.

I tried the ipmitools feature on linux, but it has been… less than helpful at actually controling it.

IPMI is only available on the dedicated wired network port. Having said that, you can connect to it via your router if that has a WiFi signal and you have the router connected via a wire to the IPMI port.
