it's not like your asking for recommendations between similar products, we can't really help you in the least, it come down to

do you want a

  • big tablet
  • little tablet
  • another pc

everyone's answer to that is going to be different, and seeing as we don't know your uses or day to day life we can't help you

right now I have the iPad for and I like it, but I would like to have some thing like a macbook air but there to expensive, I was thing on getting the ps4 or Xbox one lol I just don't know what to do with the money but i really want the iPad air because I need something for when im on the go

change my mind I just want something that I can use on the go...like the iPad air or a really slim laptop

Have you ever think of downsizing your options from your current iPad? Personally I think the smaller it is, the better it is to carry around if you ever do a lot of traveling, plus you need a tablet. A decently sized 32GB of storage iPad Mini might fit your choice but it's up to you if you want to opt in for an Air. They're half the weight of the older iPads anyway but slightly heavier than the Minis.

i was going to go with the mini but since the air is so much lighter i might as well go with that one.

if you guys can give my an idea of a laptop thats around that price and is slim and portable.

Those small Acer ultrabooks are like the thinnest ultrabooks I have ever seen. I could've got those last year but I opted in for more horsepower; got a completely different one.

But this depends on what work are you going to do. If you're just doing something simple like documents, sending something over the web, browsing the web, then just stick to the iPad Air for the sake of keeping the size to the minimum, unless you're actually doing something that could have been done on a desktop and notebooks. Trying to go for editing videos, photos and audio is unheard of.
