What kind of endurance does Intel promise on these? Do they actually last that long? I have heard some conflicting reports. Dell etc doesn’t seem to offer Optane at all, that is a bit worrying.
@wendell any details on tests done while using this as SQL swap/cache device?
I assume it just shows up as a drive and you can format it with a regular filesystem partition? If so, what was the filesystem used in the tests?

most other tests were within just a few seconds between the 960 pro. and actually the 960 pro will be faster than this

Would be interesting putting 8 of those U.2 into RAID0.
There are also those Radeon PRO SSG GPUs that could maybe take advantage of the low latency for HPC workloads.
