Is it worth getting the i7 4770 (non-K) for the extra £50 or so. Only questioning this since on cpuboss it says they are similar in their performance. Knowing that cpuboss is far from 100% accurate thought I'd ask here first.

...and when video editing on after effects will their be much of a performance difference?

For gaming it will not be that much of a difference. For video editing there will be difference since the 4770 has 8 threads it can simply do more at the same time
Really depends on your needs. The i7 will give quite a good boost in editing performance. Though, the i5 is sufficient for most people's editing needs.
For video editing and stuf go i7 ☺ it will be a performance boost because of its HT. also a AMD FX8350 is not a bad choice. its cheaper then an i5 in general. but back to intel.. for editing i would say yes its worth it. ☺
