Intel Arc Pro A40 - Worth Investigation? Any Information out there?

Thought I’d start a conversation around this interesting new low profile GPU that might be worth checking out in an off-label use as a hardware accelerator for virtualized transcoding, remote desktop acceleration (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, aka VDI) or other interesting use such as the Flex 170 that Wendel talked about previously. What I’m particularly interested in is maybe this being a decent addition to an MS-01 so that I could get some virtual machine accelerated applications without relying solely on the built-in iGPU.

It’d be interesting to also see how it compares to something like the Nvidia A1000 card in a limited-power, limited-space application like this.

intrigued “just” 200€ but i cant find any sriov or VDI claims for the pro series atm… that would all i need in a “RTX” capable device.

I’d also like to see a review of this for VDI purposes.
